New Inter midfielder Emerson Espinoza’s agent, Manuel Sierra, discussed the transfer to Inter and the player’s dreams in an exclusive interview with Italian media outlet FcInterNews.

“Nothing is easy, but with work everything is possible, and Emerson aims to follow this path.”

Sierra touched on Inter’s interest in the 18-year-old Ecuadorian and his move from Parma to the Nerazzurri.

“The interest had always been there and in the end, it came true.”

The agent suggested that Espinoza was similar to Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

“Same kind of player. A box to box player who can also play as a midfielder in front of the defence.”

He spoke about his client’s reaction when he was told that he would be joining Inter.

“He was overjoyed. Imagine signing for one of the biggest clubs in the world.”

Sierra revealed the formula of the deal.

“The formula was for a loan deal with a buy option attached.”

Finally, Sierra discussed how Espinoza’s dream was to play for the first team.

“Let’s hope that happens. That’s why he trains hard day after day.”

The 18-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder joined Inter from Parma on transfer deadline day last month from Parma. The player has made eight appearances for the Ecuador Under-20 squad, impressing in his performances in the Under-20 South American Championship last year. He also scored his first goal in a friendly against the Venezuela Under-20 squad back in 2018. Inter are hoping that Espinoza will grow into a strong investment.
