Inter have confirmed that goalkeeper and club captain Samir Handanovic as sustained a hairline fracture to one of his fingers in his left hand.

The 35-year-old Slovenian international shot-stopper picked up the injury on training on Friday and had an x-ray to determine the extent of the injury.

The club have confirmed that the former Udinese player, who has appeared in all barring one of Inter’s games to date this season, will be have his condition assessed on a daily basis.

It does of course now remain to be seen if Handanovic will be able to recover in time for this weekend’s Milan derby.
