Daniele Padelli’s appearance in Inter’s 2-0 victory away to Udinese last night was his first Serie A appearance in almost three and a half years a report in today’s print edition of Turin newspaper Tuttosport highlights.

The 34-year-old shot-stopper was played due to Inter’s number one goalkeeper Samir Handanovic injuring himself in training in the lead up to the game and Padelli gave a good account of himself and made a number of good saves throughout the match at the Stadio Friuli.

Prior to his appearance last night, Padelli had made just two appearances, both of which coming in the Coppa Italia, since his arrival at the club on a free transfer back in the Summer of 2017 after his contract expired with Torino.

Padelli could be in line to make some more appearances in the coming weeks if reports elsewhere are to be believed. As per these other reports, Handanovic is facing a few weeks out on the sidelines due to his injury which means Padelli could well play in this coming weekend’s Milan derby.
