In today’s print edition, Gazzetta dello Sport have examined some of the decisions that referee Marco Di Bello either correctly or incorrectly gave during last night’s match between Udinese and Inter, which Inter won 2-0 thanks to a Romelu Lukaku brace.

Di Bello had no sooner blown his whistle to start at the game in Udine when he made his first mistake of the match as he failed to apply the advantage rule when Udinese were on the attack.

Around the first 15 minutes of the match, there were several fouls committed by each side and whilst some were near identical fouls, Di Bello did not blow his whistle for all of them, much to the annoyance of both teams.

Soon after the beginning of the second half, Stefano Okaka went down in the box but Di Bello was correct to not award a penalty in favour of the hosts.

He was absolutely correct to award a penalty for Inter soon after when Juan Musso took out Alexis Sanchez though and in the dying embers of the match, he once again got another penalty related decision correct as Mato Jajalo hit the deck after a duel with Marcelo Brozovic.
