Inter are not worried about the reported continued interest that Barcelona have in signing striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.

The reigning Spanish champions have a long standing interest in signing the 22-year-old and are understood to see him as the possible long term replacement for ageing striker Luis Suarez.

Reports in the media have suggested that the Blaugrana club would have absolutely no problem paying the €111 million release clause in the Argentine international’s current contract but CalcioMercato.com insist Inter are not worrying about the prospect of the Catalans swooping in.

His contract with the club is due to expire at the end of the 2022/23 season and for the time being discussing a new contract is not seen as a top priority by the leaders of the Nerazzurri club.

This season Lautaro has formed a formidable partnership with Romelu Lukaku. He has made 27 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored 16 goals and tallied four assists.
