In today’s print edition, Tuttosport have revealed the contract offer that Inter have tabled pending free agent Dries Mertens.

Mertens’ contract with Inter’s fellow Serie A side Napoli is due to expire at the end of this season and Inter have made him a contract offer worth €5 million a year for three years.

The player is yet to make a decision on whether he wants to move elsewhere or sign a contract extension with the Stadio San Paolo club and finish his career with them.

The report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to state that Inter continue to follow Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, whose contract is also due to expire at the end of this season.

Inter had shown a strong interest in signing the experienced Frenchman during the recent January transfer window but opted against finalising a move for him in the end despite reportedly agreeing personal terms with him.
