Young Inter centre back Alessandro Bastoni was the latest player to take part in Inter TV show ‘Unboxing’ and spoke on a number of different topics.

He firstly explained the reasoning behind his shirt number, 95.

“It all started when I first got called into the Atalanta first team. I had made a promise to my brother to put his birth year as my number,” he started.

“This is a way to have him and the whole family on the pitch with me. We will always be a very close family, we all love each other very much. Me and my brother tell each other everything.”

The young defender also spoke on collecting Panini stickers as a youngster and how it feels when he sees his sticker now that he is a player.

“I knew all the footballers and used to have my grandmother quiz me. I have never been able to complete an album but when my cousins send me the photo of my sticker it has a particular effect.

“I am experiencing something strange, far from the world I come from. For me it is a dream come true to be able to play in front of 70,000 people at San Siro, I live it to the fullest.”

The Italian youth international also shared some of the things that he wishes to fulfil in his career.

“Maybe wear the captain’s armband and raise a trophy to the sky. This is a dream that I share with the whole team.”

Bastoni joined Inter back in the Summer of 2017 from fellow Serie A club Atalanta and following a loan spell back with the Bergamo club and with Parma, he has found himself become a first team regular as of late at Inter with him keeping the experienced Diego Godin out of the team.

This season the 20-year-old, who is under contract with the club until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 14 appearances across all competitions.
