Chelsea are the latest clubs to have sparked an interest in signing Inter striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from CalcioMercato.it.

The Premier League side are on the look out for a new striker and have identified the 22-year-old Argentine international as a target.

Chelsea could be willing to offer one of Marcos Alonso or Emerson Palmieri to Inter as part of any deal for Lautaro, who has a €111 million release clause in his current contract.

The report goes on to state that Chelsea are far from alone in showing an interest in the former Racing Club striker, who is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Barcelona seem to be the front-runners in the race to sign him whilst Manchester City, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are all also understood to be keen on him.

This season Lautaro has made 27 appearances across all competitions. In just over 2100 minutes on the park, he has scored 16 goals and tallied four assists.
