Conte Could Deploy Inter In A 3-5-1-1 System Against AC Milan This Sunday

Inter manager Antonio Conte could deploy his side in a 3-5-1-1 system in Sunday night’s Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan at San Siro according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

The reason for this is because Conte wishes to play Christian Eriksen in his preferred attacking midfielder role as well as not disrupting the three man midfield setup that has served both him and Inter well throughout the season.

Eriksen will be deployed in behind Romelu Lukaku and will be tasked with setting the Belgian international striker up against the Rossoneri.

The report goes on to state that Samir Handanovic trained again today but he did so without any ball work. Handanovic is currently dealing with a hairline fracture to one of his fingers in his left hand and although he is trying to do everything to be available, Daniele Padelli, who deputised for him against Udinese, is in pole position to start.
