Inter have set their sights on young Italian midfielder Matteo Pessina according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Pessina is owned by Atalanta and is currently out on loan at Hellas Verona, where he has been virtually ever present since arriving.

The Italian under 21 international has caught the eye of Inter with his performances but as per the report from the Milan based newspaper, Inter are not alone in having been impressed by what he has done whilst with the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi club.

AC Milan, Fiorentina and Napoli are all also understood to have shown an interest in Pessina, who is under contract with Atalanta until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Pessina has made 21 appearances across all competitions for Hellas Verona to date this season. In little under 1500 minutes on the field, the central midfielder, who can also play as a defensive or attacking midfielder, has scored three goals.
