Genoa central midfielder Lasse Schone has shared his belief that following the addition of his countryman Christian Eriksen, Inter are now on a par with Juventus.

Eriksen joined Inter during the recent January transfer window in a circa €20 million deal from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur on a four and a half year deal.

“He is an extraordinary player and with him on the pitch, the Nerazzurri are on the same level as Juventus,” he began an interview which appeared in the print edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport today.

“You just have to look at when he was at Tottenham and how many chances he created and how many assists he gave. If we transfer this speech to a club like Inter who have Lukaku in attack, the scoring chances will multiply.”

Schone, who has played with Eriksen in the Danish national team as well as at club level at Ajax, also went on to praise Eriksen as a person.

“He is a splendid boy on a human level, he is an excellent person. I wish him well in all his matches in Italy, except for the two against us.”

Since joining Inter, Eriksen has made two appearances across all competitions, one of which have come as a starter. In his little time on the pitch so far he has not made any goal contributions but hopes are high amongst fans that they will not need to wait much longer to see Eriksen perform at his best.
