Parma manager Roberto D’Aversa has revealed that Inter manager and close friend Antonio Conte asked him about more than just Dejan Kulusevski.

Inter set their sights on Kulusevski ahead of the January transfer window and appeared on the verge of completing a deal for the young Swedish international before arch-rivals Juventus snatched him from right under their noses.

In an interview with Roman newspaper D’Aversa confirmed Conte had asked about the 19-year-old sensation, who will complete a move to Juventus at the end of this season, and others.

“Did he ask me about Kulusevski? We talked about him, but he also asked me about some of my other players. The names? I would not reveal them even under torture,” he explained in the interview which appeared in today’s print edition.

D’Aversa, who has been in charge at Parma since December 2016, then went on to discuss the race for the Serie A title, which has been one of the most competitive races in a good few years.

Juventus are leading the way with 54 points, Inter are in second with 51 points and Lazio are sitting in third place with 50 points to their name.

“I know Antonio and I know that with his work he gets his teams to give something more. Juventus have something more organic whilst Lazio cannot be forgotten about.”
