Inter coach Antonio Conte is considering using a 3-5-1-1 formation in tomorrow’s derby against AC Milan, following trials in training, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 50-year-old Italian coach has been trialling using a midfield trio of Nicolo Barella, Matias Vecino and Marcelo Brozovic behind Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, who will in turn play behind Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku. Conte now has a multitude of options in the midfield department, with both Stefano Sensi and Borja Valero on the bench in tomorrow’s game.

Sensi is pushing for a starting shirt, the report continues. He wants to convince Conte that he is fit to be a regular starter again, following the long injury that kept him out of around 12 games.

The Nerazzurri are currently 19 points ahead of the Rossoneri after 22 games, although AC Milan have a better record in their last five league games compared to Inter.
