Inter striker Lautaro Martinez has apologised to his teammates for the red card he received against Cagliari and has given them all a gift, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 22-year-old Argentinian striker, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, was present at the team dinner on Wednesday, apologising to his teammates and giving his best wishes to them ahead of tomorrow’s derby against AC Milan, which Lautaro will be watching from the stands.

In the last few days, the report continues, Lautaro gave all his teammates a large television as a gift to further apologise. The Argentine forward received a red card against Cagliari last month after receiving two yellow cards, forcing him to miss the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 win against Udinese last weekend as well as tomorrow’s derby against AC Milan. The player will be available for next week’s Coppa Italia clash against Napoli and the away game to Lazio on the weekend.
