Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi spoke to gathered reporters at a press conference earlier today, ahead of the Biancocelesti’s league clash against Parma tomorrow.

The Italian coach discussed the team’s place in the league table and which players are likely to be fit for the side’s league clash against Inter next weekend. His words were noted by Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

“We won’t have Radu, Milinkovic-Savic, Bastos and Lulic, who barely walked today. He’s a very generous player, he’s been dealing with a problem with his ankle for over a month. Now he has to stop, hopefully not for long. We’re waiting for him. He’s our captain. There’s no certainty that he can recover for the game against Inter, I’d say no now, but he’s done very important things for Lazio in the past. Now he needs time to fix this ankle, which today looked like everything but an ankle.”

The Italian coach then spoke about the Biancocelesti’s place in the league table.

“The league table? We’re doing great, sensational things. We must continue. In other leagues we’d be in the lead, but here we’ve got Inter and Juve going strong. Tomorrow we’ll have to make one last effort. It’s been an intense and expensive week.”

Lazio are currently one point behind Inter in third place, being also four points behind league leaders Juventus. The Biancocelesti have only lost two games so far this season, with the first being against SPAL in September and the second time being against Inter at the San Siro at the end of September. If the Roman club beat Inter next weekend, they will be two points clear at second place. Inter striker Lautaro Martinez will be available for the game.
