A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has analysed the impact of Inter striker Romelu Lukaku.

The 26-year-old Belgian striker has scored 16 goals so far this season in 22 league appearances, the report highlights, with his eye for goal coming from his very first games with Inter. Not only has Lukaku scored 20 goals in 29 games across all competitions so far this season, but he has also provided an example to his teammates.

The Belgian has a strong work rate and commitment, the report continues, and is continuing to work hard. This is a direct contrast to former Inter target man Mauro Icardi, who would struggle to make himself involved in the game if he wasn’t scoring goals. The former Manchester United striker has now made his €80 million investment seem worth it as he as quickly adapted to the Italian league and the tactical system of coach Antonio Conte.
