Italian television presenter Amadeus, during the fifth and last evening of the 70th edition of the Sanremo music festival, discussed his love for Inter in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Italia yesterday evening.

First, the Italian discussed the emotion of hosting the event on the last night compared to the first.

“It’s like when you enter the pitch, I’ve always made a comparison with football, something that I love so much, it’s like a footballer coming out of the tunnel and entering the stadium. The biggest because the Ariston stage is like the biggest stadium, you’re excited, then the game starts. Now we’re in the last few minutes, we’re bringing the result home well and so we want to enjoy these last few minutes, with a back heel maybe. Like in games that in the end when you’re winning you want to be a bit of a phenomenon!”

Amadeus then revealed that he will be inside the San Siro for tomorrow’s derby against AC Milan.

“No, I’m at the stadium tomorrow, I’m not going to be able to watch the derby… Tomorrow I’m at the stadium. I’ll get up early, go to the press conference and then off to Milan. I’m already at the stadium.”

Inter are currently 2nd in the league table after 22 games, sitting four points behind 1st place Juventus. The Nerazzurri are also only one point ahead of 3rd place Lazio, who will play the Milanese club in Rome next weekend. They are 19 points ahead of intercity rivals AC Milan, who are sat in 9th place.

A win for either Milanese club can change their season, as a win for the Rossoneri would allow them to continue their momentum and improve their position in the table, whereas a win for the Nerazzurri would ensure that they are still in the title race with Juventus.
