Inter Could Offer Emiliano Viviano An Initial Six Month Contract

Inter could offer Emiliano Viviano a contract to the end of the season with an option for a another season attached according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Due to number one goalkeeper and club captain Samir Handanovic’s injury and Inter’s packed scheduled that will see them play 11 games within the next month, club management are thinking of adding another goalkeeper to the team.

Viviano is set to train with Inter for the next few days and if he proves himself and passes a medical, the club could table him the above contract offer.

The 34-year-old, who has six caps for the Italian national team, is currently a free agent and was last on the books of Portuguese outfit Sporting.

Viviano has recently been training with his former employers Sampdoria in order to keep his fitness up, five months on from being freed by Sporting.

Viviano is no stranger to Serie A having played no less than 251 games during spells with Sampdoria, Bologna, Fiorentina, Palermo and SPAL.
