Samir Handanovic will soon sign a contract extension with Inter according to a report from the online edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The veteran shot-stopper is currently under contract with the club until the end of the 2020/21 season and whilst he is set to renew, the futures of his deputies Daniele Padelli and Tomasso Berni, both of whom’s contracts expire at the end of this season, remain uncertain.

The report goes on to state that Inter are well aware that there will soon be the need to change the goalkeeping guard with the above trio being 35, 34 and 36 respectively and they are already thinking about the future.

Udinese’s Juan Musso and Napoli’s Alex Meret are both goalkeepers who could come in and be Handanovic’s heir whilst the Nerazzurri do of course have talented youngster Ionut Radu, who is currently out on loan at Parma, on their books too.
