Inter defender Federico Dimarco has shared his thoughts and feelings on his move to Hellas Verona as he was officially presented to the media earlier on today.

The Italian youth international joined the Gialloblu club in a loan with option to buy deal during the recent January transfer window.

“It was a long time in coming. It all started in early January but then there were some injuries at Inter and as they waited for reinforcements to arrive, I had to wait around for the club to give their OK to the move,” he told the gathered media.

He then spoke on if Inter manager Antonio Conte and Hellas Verona manager Ivan Juric can be compared.

“They have different methods on what to do on the pitch therefore they are difficult to compare. With Conte we played every three days, there were a few long weeks.”

Dimarco proceeded to share his hopes to remain with the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi club past the end of this season.

“Four months is not a lot of time to work. I have to earn it on the pitch but I would like to stay here for a year and a half. I chose Verona because they are a team I liked to play against. I did not take other teams into consideration.

“Since there had been interest I have always watched the games when I could. I think it is the right system for me.”

In conclusion he spoke on what he wants to do between now and the end of the Serie A season.

“With Conte at Inter we worked hard, I think it is a baggage that I carry with me, and I hope it will serve me well in the rest of the season.”

Prior to joining Hellas Verona, the 22-year-old made four appearances for Inter across all competitions this season. Sine joining Hellas Verona, he has made one appearance and that came this past weekend as Hellas Verona pulled off a shock 2-1 win over reigning Italian champions Juventus.
