Inter have confirmed that teen sensation Sebastiano Esposito is unavailable for tonight’s Coppa Italia semi final first leg against Napoli due to a muscle injury.

The youngster, who has broken into the Inter first team this season, picked up the injury in training and the club’s medical staff conducted tests on him earlier on today.

The tests highlighted that he has strained the rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh and as a result he will miss tonight’s match and will have his condition re-examined by the club’s staff next week which means he will also miss Sunday night’s top of the table clash away to Lazio.

Esposito is widely regarded as one of the best prospects to have come through at Inter for a number of years and he has shown glimpses of his potential when called upon this season by Inter manager Antonio Conte. He has made 10 appearances at first team level this season and has notched a single goal in that time.
