Real Madrid have made a substantial contract offer to Inter striker Lautaro Martinez in a bid to overcome the competition they face from arch rivals Barcelona for his signature according to a report from Argentine broadcaster TyC Sports.

Los Blancos have made what has been described as an offer that cannot be turned down to the 22-year-old striker, who is among the best young strikers on the planet at the moment.

Lautaro has a €111 million release clause in his current contract with Inter which is only valid for the first two weeks of every July and Real Madrid bosses have absolutely no problems with the idea of having to pay that for the former Racing Club man, who has also been linked with Manchester City and Manchester United.

This season the Argentine national team forward has made 28 appearances across all competitions during which he has notched 16 goals and formed a formidable strike partnership with Romelu Lukaku.
