Barcelona are prepared to meet the release clause in Lautaro Martinez’s Inter contract according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.
Barcelona management met yesterday to discuss how they intend to deal with their current injury crisis and it was during this meeting that they decided they will make a move for Lautaro Martinez during the upcoming Summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old Argentine international striker has been in red hot form this season for Inter and has attracted interest from a number of other clubs than Barcelona too.
The Blaugrana’s arch rivals Real Madrid are understood to be keen whilst both Manchester United and Manchester City have also been linked with a move for the former Racing Club player too.
Lautaro is currently under contract with Inter for a further three and a half years and has a €111 million release clause in his contract, a clause that is only valid for the first two weeks of July.
