Inter could make a move for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in the Summer transfer window if Lautaro Martinez is to leave the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

In the past few days Lautaro has been heavily linked with moves to the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City and all three clubs could sign him without Inter getting any say in things if they pay his €111 million release clause which is only valid for the first two weeks in July.

With it looking increasingly likely that clubs will be coming in for the 22-year-old Argentine in a few months time, Inter have began to plan for who they could replace him with and have identified Arsenal man Aubameyang as a possibility.

The Gabonese striker is valued by the Premier League club at €70 million and will be sold for sure in the Summer with it understood he does not wish to sign a contract extension.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to add that Inter will not engage in talks with Manchester United over a possible permanent move for Alexis Sanchez.

Inter are on the lookout for a player who could replace the Chilean and seemingly really like Napoli’s Dries Mertens, whose contract is set to expire at the end of this season.
