Christian Vieri has shared his delight at how competitive the race for the Serie A title has been this season between his former clubs Inter, Lazio and Juventus.

Inter are currently sitting at the top of the Serie A table after 23 rounds of action having picked up 54 points from a possible 69 available to them.

Juventus are currently occupying second spot in the table and have also amassed the same number of points as their Nerazzurri rivals but find themselves behind due to the fact they have an inferior goal difference. Lazio are meanwhile in third and have a total of 53 points.

With 15 rounds of Serie A action left until the end of the season, the title race certainly promises to be one of the best seen in Serie A in recent years.

“I don’t have a favourite team, I cheer for all the teams I played for, because they gave me the opportunity to work with them and I took something away from every situation. I have to say that this year the league is more beautiful, because there are three teams fighting for the Scudetto, this hasn’t happened for 15 years, so it’s fun,” the former Italian national team striker said in an interview with Italian news agency ANSA earlier on today.
