Inter In Advanced Talks For Manchester United Kid Tahith Chong And Consider Loan Options

Inter are believed to be in advanced talks for Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong, to the point they’re already seeking out possible loan options for next season.

The 20-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, so could move for only a development fee.

It was reported yesterday that Chong has been offered a contract of €1.8-2m to move to Italy and today’s Corriere dello Sport reports that the Nerazzurri feel they’re “very advanced” in negotations.

Talks have progressed so far that Inter are already considering possible loan options for next season, having abandoned the idea of sending him to Jiangsu Suning.

Chong primarily plays as a winger, a role which doesn’t fit naturally in Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system.

Inter want him to develop in the Italian league with regular game time, something he wouldn’t be guaranteed at San Siro.

There are no doubts over his ability though, so the idea would be to loan him to another Serie A side with a view to bringing him back in the future.
