Former Inter and Lazio attacker Ruben Sosa has admitted he will not be cheering on either team when they face one another later on today in a top of the table Serie A clash at the Stadio Olimpico.

He started the interview by sharing his expectations for the game, which is to be attended by 60,000 fans, including 10,000 Inter fans, according to a few reports in the media.

“It will be a beautiful game. Whoever wins the game is closest to the Italian title,” he explained in an interview with Lazio themed news site, Cittaceleste.it.

Next he went on to speak about which of the two teams he believes is better.

“I think Inter have a little bit more than Lazio, perhaps from a team perspective but Lazio are doing something unique.”

Sosa then went on to reflect on his time with both clubs.

“I have beautiful memories with the two clubs. With Inter I won the Uefa Cup, a very important trophy for the fans. I spent 3 fantastic years at Inter. I have so many memories from my time with Lazio that started as soon as I arrived. I have an affiliation to both teams.

“Inter was perhaps the best team I played in during my career but I am very close to Lazio and it is for this reason that I will not be cheering for either side tonight. I want to see the best team win and a good show.”

The Uruguayan joined Inter in 1992 from Lazio and would spend three years with the club before leaving for German giants Borussia Dortmund. During his time with the club he would make a total of 104 appearances across all competitions, in which he scored 50 goals and tallied 10 assists.
