Tensions between Boubakary Soumare and Lille have risen as of late according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.

The highly rated French central midfielder drew links to several clubs in the lead up to – and during – the January transfer window and was expecting to be allowed to depart the club in January but Les Dogues did not let him leave.

The 20-year-old is understood to have become unhappy with this decision and this is how tensions have risen. He was initially included in the squad for Lille’s match with Marseille over the weekend but then vanished from the team sheet an hour before the game started with it understood that the tension played a part in that decision being made.

Inter, Napoli, Manchester United and a whole array of other clubs seemingly have an interest in the former Paris Saint Germain academy player.

This season Soumare, who is under contract until 2022, has made 29 appearances across all competitions, in which he has contributed a single assist.
