Zaccheroni: “Inter Are Changing, There Has Been A Drop Off In Recent Performances”

In an interview with Italian radio station Radio 24 show ‘Tutto Convocati’ earlier on tonight, former Inter manager Alberto Zaccheroni has shared his views on Inter’s recent form.

For the first time under the management of Antonio Conte, Inter have lost two games in domestic competition in a row and this has led to many questioning whether or not Inter really have what it takes to go on and win the Serie A title this term.

“Inter are changing. There was a good deal of excitement at the start of the season, but there has been a drop off in recent performances,” Zaccheroni, who spent part of the 2003/04 season in charge of Inter, said.

Zaccheroni, who last managed the United Arab Emirates national team, then went on to briefly talk on Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen joined the Nerazzurri during the recent January transfer window but has so far found playing time hard to come by. Whilst he has featured in all five of Inter’s games since joining, he has made just one start and spent a total of 137 minutes on the field.

“Eriksen is a quality player, Conte knows the players he has well and he can play Eriksen in the heart of his midfield.”
