Atalanta defender Timothy Castagne has hinted that he would find it difficult to turn down a move to Inter if ever the Nerazzurri were to come in for him.

The Belgian national team player has drawn links to several clubs in recent months and started the interview by stating that he wants to wait until the end of this season before taking stock of the situation.

“I want to finish the season in a big way and after the European Championships we will see what happens,” he explained in an interview which appeared in today’s print edition of Belgian newspaper, La Derniere Heure.

He then went on say that if the Bergamo based club are to achieve Champions League qualification again he could stay.

“If we made it into the Champions League again, it would certainly not be bad a bad thing to stay. I also do not know which teams will contact me, we will see what happens.”

He went on to add: “England has always appealed to me, but when a team like Inter or Napoli comes knocking on the door…They are big teams.”

The 24-year-old, who joined Atalanta for €6 million back in the Summer of 2017 from Genk, has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date this term. In little under 1400 minutes on the field, Castagne has scored two goals and also provided as many assists for his teammates.
