Inter will not renew the contract of third goalkeeper Tomasso Berni at the end of this season according to a report from Romanian news outlet Sport.

The veteran shot-stopper joined Inter back in the Summer of 2014 and has never played a competitive game for the club. His only appearances in the Nerazzurri shirt came in three pre-season friendlies back in the Summer of 2015.

Berni has however been offered a coaching role in Inter’s academy by the club and it now remains to be seen whether or not the 36-year-old takes Inter up on that offer.

The report goes on to add that with Berni to leave, Inter will need another goalkeeper and it could well be Ionut Andrei Radu who takes his place.

The young Romanian national team goalkeeper could also take over the role of deputy to Inter’s number one goalkeeper Samir Handanovic from Daniele Padelli, who, like Berni, is out of contract come the end of this season.
