Respected football manager Zdenek Zeman has shared his belief that Juventus are the favourites to go all the way and win the Serie A title come the end of this season.
The Bianconeri club are chasing their ninth Serie A title in a row and are currently on course to achieve it with them sitting at the top of the table at the moment after 24 of the 38 league games have been played.
Unlike in recent years however, Juventus have not one but two teams challenging them for the title in Lazio and Inter, who are hot on their heels and refusing to give them any sort of breathing space. Juventus have 57 points, Lazio are in second with 56 points and Inter are in third place with 54 points.
“For me Juventus are still the favourites, but if you they make a few errors in games, Lazio are ready to take advantage,” Zeman, who last managed Pescara in the 2017/18 season, admitted in an interview which appeared in today’s print edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
“In the end I think Juventus will win it, but it is not obvious. After eight years without opponents for Juventus, there is balance at the top. Inter are also up there alongside Lazio.”
