Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen will be on the bench for tomorrow’s league clash against Sampdoria, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how coach Antonio Conte wants to start the game against the Ligurian club in a 3-5-2 formation, forcing the Danish midfielder to start on the bench. Conte still thinks that the former Tottenham talisman needs to adapt to his tactical style further, before he reaches his potential.

Milan Skriniar and Marcelo Brozovic will both start, the report continues, with Alessandro Bastoni heading to the bench so veteran defender Diego Godin can start. Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez will both be leading the line for the Nerazzurri.

Inter are currently 3rd in the league table after 24 games, sitting two points behind 2nd place Lazio and three points behind leaders and reigning champions Juventus. Sampdoria are 17th in the table, only one point ahead of rivals Genoa.

Probabile Inter Line-up (3-5-2): Daniele Padelli; Diego Godin, Stefan De Vrij, Milan Skriniar; Antonio Candreva, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Matias Vecino, Ashley Young; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez
