Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito’s father, Agostino, has been appointed as the head coach of Promozione squad ASD Voluntas Montichiari, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews today.

The report details how the 48-year-old Italian retired from football at the end of the 1989/90 season, spent with Celano. His two sons are both professional footballers, with Sebastiano being a part of the Inter first team and Salvatore playing for Serie B side Chievo Verona.

An official press release from the club said: “ASD Voluntas Montichiari Calcio announces that Ermanno Panina is no longer the coach of the First Team. He deserves heartfelt thanks for the work he has done and the professionalism he has shown. The new coach of ASD Voluntas Montichiari is Agostino Esposito. The club extends a warm welcome and best wishes to Mr Esposito. Welcome Mister!”

Sebastiano Esposito, who is contracted to Inter until June of 2022, has exploded into the Inter first team under Italian coach Antonio Conte. The former Juventus and Chelsea boss noticed the 17-year-old Italian forward in the team’s pre-season training camp and immediately began working him into the first team. The teenager has made ten appearances across all competitions so far this season for the Nerazzurri, scoring one goal in that time.
