Four Serie A matches have been postponed by the Lega Serie A, following the decree from the Council of Ministers regarding the current spread of the coronavirus in the regions of Lombardy and Veneto, confirms Italian news outlet ANSA today.

The report details how Inter’s league clash against Sampdoria, Hellas Verona’s game against Cagliari, Atalanta’s match against Sassuolo and Torino’s meeting with Parma have all been postponed until a later date due to fears that the virus could spread within the stadiums. It’s difficult to predict when Inter will face Sampdoria now, considering their busy schedule due to their commitments in the Europa League and Coppa Italia.

Inter are also at risk at playing their Europa League clash against Bulgarian champions Ludogorets behind closed doors at the San Siro next week, the report continues. The game may feature no spectators as a precautionary measure. The Nerazzurri beat the Bulgarian side last week 2-0.
