Former Inter striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa celebrated his 300th appearance as a professional footballer with a post on his Instagram page yesterday.

The 23-year-old Brazilian forward, who joined Brazilian side Flamengo on a permanent deal last month, scored the winning goal in Flamengo’s 2-1 win over Boavista. The player made 41 appearances for the Brazilian side last season, for a total of 3561 minutes. In that time, he scored 34 goals and provided 11 assists, helping the club to win the league title and the Copa Libertadores.

Gabigol posted a photo of himself alongside the caption: “A special match. Every boy’s dream, everyone’s dream, to become a footballer! 300 games, goals and another title. Thank you, God, for another unforgettable day!”
