Tahith Chong is close to agreeing a deal to join Inter on a free transfer this Summer according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.

The Dutch youth international attacker’s contract with Premier League side Manchester United is set to expire at the end of the season and Inter have offered him a five year contract with an annual salary of just under €2 million.

It had been suggested that Chong may have been loaned out to Inter’s Chinese sister club Jiangsu Suning but the player is understood to have told the Nerazzurri that he has no interest in such a move.

Inter have went back and said that they would like to loan him out for his first season with the club with Hellas Verona and Sassuolo both understood to be interested.

Chong is currently weighing this up and once he gives his blessing to this, his move to Inter will be finalised, the report goes on to state.
