Inter are set to sign Manchester United winger Tahith Chong on a free transfer in the summer, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri will offer the 20-year-old Dutchman a five-year contract, worth €2 million net per season, including bonuses. The signing will also help the Nerazzurri reach new fans in China, considering the Chinese origins of Chong.

The Milanese club are looking for somewhere to send him on loan, the report continues. Inter have been in contact with Hellas Verona, Parma and Sassuolo to see if they can reach an acceptable loan deal for the player, allowing him time to acclimatise to Italian football. His role as a winger also doesn’t perfectly suit coach Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system.

Chong has made ten first team appearances for the Red Devils so far this season across all competitions, providing one assist in that time.
