A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has suggested that the postponement of Inter’s Derby d’Italia against Juventus benefits the Turin based side a lot more than the Nerazzurri.

The report details how the Bianconeri haven’t commented on the postponement so far, in part due to the suggestion that the postponement has benefited them more than Inter. Juventus will now face the Milanese side with their fans present, rather than playing behind closed doors. This is important for the Bianconeri, as they have collected 34 points out of 36 in the league and nine points out of nine in the Champions League in front of their fans at home.

Inter, on the other hand, are now eight points off the top of the league table, the report continues. The Nerazzurri will need to think about the postponed games, rather than feeling demotivated when looking at the league table, something that was highlighted by Inter CEO Beppe Marotta.
