The postponed Derby D’Italia between Juventus and Inter could take place this coming Sunday rather than Monday according to a report in the print edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The match between the two great rivals was due to take place this past weekend but was one of several games postponed by Lega Serie A as a direct result of the ongoing Coronavirus situation in Italy.

Although not officially confirmed, it appeared that the game had been rearranged to take place on March 9 at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, the day after the government restrictions on large scale public gatherings were to have finished.

However, it is now looking increasingly likely that all games for the foreseeable future will be played behind closed doors thus meaning the game could be played on Sunday instead of holding out until Monday as the conditions will be the exact same.
