Barcelona need to sell Philippe Coutinho in order to make a move for Inter striker Lautaro Martinez in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Spanish news outlet L’Esportiu.

Lautaro is understood to be one of the Blaugrana’s top Summer transfer targets but he will not come cheap as he has a €111 million release clause in his contract and for financial reasons Barcelona need to raise significant funds to be able to sign him.

They could raise that sum and then some if Bayern Munich take up their option to sign Coutinho on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

The reigning Bundesliga champions have an option to sign him up for a sum of €120 million but if they do not take up that option the two clubs could perhaps negotiate a new price. Alternatively, Barcelona could try and sell him to a club in England.
