Inter are set to give Alessandro Bastoni a new and improved contract as a reward for his continued good performances during the course of this season according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.
The young centre back has broken into the Inter team this season and has even kept the vastly more experienced Diego Godin out of the team at times this campaign.
Bastoni, who joined Inter in the Summer of 2017 from fellow Serie A side Atalanta, currently earns €300,000 a year but the new contract will see his pay packet almost tripled.
He is currently under contract with the club until the end of the 2023 season and as per the report he will be offered a new five year deal.
The report goes on to state that there is no chance that Bastoni will be allowed to leave the club amid interest in him from Barcelona and Manchester City as Inter manager Antonio Conte really likes him and sees him as a player who represents the future of Inter.
