Julio Cesar: “The Memories I Have From My Time At Inter Are Indelible, Conte Is A Winning Manager”

In an interview with footballnews24.it, legendary Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar has reflected on his time with the club among other Inter related topics.

The Brazilian, who now works as a football agent, started by saying: “The memories I have are indelible, every player who made up that group had the chance to enter the history of a great club like Inter.”

He then went on to talk about Inter’s current situation which has seen them go without winning any trophies for almost a decade now.

“Inter have not won the league for a long time now, but I think the club have done really good to bring in Antonio Conte, he is a winning manager.”

The former Benfica shot-stopper was also asked who he believes the best goalkeeper currently playing in Italy is with there currently several top goalkeepers: “Who is the best goalkeeper in Italy? Samir Handanovic”

Cesar joined Inter in the January of 2005 although was initially registered to play at Chievo Verona due to Inter’s lack of available non-EU player registration slots. He would be registered at Inter at that Summer and would go on to spend seven years with the club before departing for Queen’s Park Rangers.

Cesar is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in Inter history and he played a huge part in Inter’s winning countless trophies, including a Champions League trophy.
