The Coppa Italia semi finals and final could be played at the beginning of next season according to a report in today’s print edition of Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Both semi final second legs that were due to take place on Wednesday and Thursday night respectively were postponed due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak that Italy is facing.

With Inter, Juventus and Napoli still competing in Europe, there are no dates available for the games to be rescheduled between now and the end of this season as things stand.

All three clubs would have to be knocked out of Europe in order for the Coppa Italia to be played before the end of the season but there is of course no guarantees that all three sides will be eliminated.

Juventus and Napoli are in the last 16 of the Champions League whilst Inter are in the last 16 of the Europa League. Juventus lost their first leg tie against Lyon 1-0 whilst Napoli secured a 1-1 draw with Barcelona in their first leg. Inter are yet to play either leg against Getafe.
