Six players are currently fighting it out amongst themselves to fill three positions in Inter manager Antonio Conte’s side for tomorrow night’s Derby D’Italia away to arch rivals Juventus according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.
Conte has decided on who will fill eight of the 11 positions in the starting line-up but is yet to decide who will occupy the final spot in the defence and midfield and who will play at right wing back.
When it comes to the defence, Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar will be back and will play alongside either of Alessandro Bastoni and Diego Godin.
As for central midfield, it is between Matias Vecino and Christian Eriksen. Eriksen has started Inter’s past two matches but is not quite fully up to speed unlike Vecino who also has the experience of playing in Derby D’Italia’s. Vecino is currently the favourite.
Finally, it is a toss up between Antonio Candreva and Danilo D’Ambrosio to start at right wing back with former Lazio man Candreva currently the favourite to be selected to start.
