Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen will not start for the Nerazzurri in their Derby d’Italia against Juventus tomorrow night, with the player still not considered ready by coach Antonio Conte, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how the Danish midfielder is still not a starter under Conte, although he has regularly been deployed as an important substitution in the second half of games. The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder still doesn’t have the intensity Conte needs him to have in a five-man midfield, with fears that he leaves too much room for his opponents.
The 28-year-old Dane has shown a great attitude however, the report continues, and is still working hard to show Conte that he’s ready to be a regular part of the system. Tomorrow evening his task will be to change the fate of the game, with the importance of the three points against Juventus being vital in the title race against the Turin based club and Lazio, who are currently eight points ahead of the Milanese club.
