Inter and Juventus are set to fight over multiple top names in the upcoming summer transfer window, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how both clubs want to sign 22-year-old talismanic forward Federico Chiesa. The son of former professional Enrico, the Italian forward is contracted to Fiorentina until 2022. There have been some small negotiations between the Florence based club and the Nerazzurri, but the feeling within the camp is that Juventus are ahead.
Sandro Tonali is another name that both teams are set to fight over, the report continues. The 19-year-old Italian midfielder has impressed massively in his first season in the topflight, with both clubs already working hard to convince the teenager to sign for them.
Another player both Juventus and Inter are interested in is 24-year-old German forward Timo Werner, the report highlights. The player, who is contracted to RB Leipzig until 2023, has scored 27 goals and provided 11 assists in 34 appearances across all competitions so far this season. The player has a €60 million release clause.
Finally, Juventus haven’t forgotten Inter owned striker Mauro Icardi, the report adds. The 27-year-old Argentinian is currently on loan at Paris Saint Germain, but recent drama has led some to suggest that he will be returning to Milan in the summer, as the Parisian club choose not to enact their €70 million buy option.
