Inter president Steven Zhang risks being fined up to €50 thousand for his offensive comments towards Lega Serie A president Paolo Dal Pino, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Chinese businessman called Dal Pino the “biggest and darkest clown I’ve ever seen” on social media, following on from the postponement of the Nerazzurri’s league clash against Juventus last weekend. The president risks being fined up to €50 thousand for the comments, with the club also at risk of receiving the same fine.

In addition, the president could be further punished, the report continues. There is a chance that he will be unable to act as president for a certain period of time, with talks seeing this punishment last up to five months. There is also the libel suit that Dal Pino himself intends to bring against Zhang, with the Nerazzurri’s president’s interviews after the Instagram post only fueling the fire further.
