A report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport has highlighted the important work of Italian doctors ahead of this evening’s Derby d’Italia between Inter and Juventus.
The report details how the Serie A doctors are the heroes of today, with the doctors recommending multiple measures to ensure the safety of the players and the staff for the games. Advice such as no handshakes, no hugs, no exchanging of water bottles and no visiting multiple social gathering spots such as bars, restaurants and night clubs.
The doctors, Marco Freschi, Piero Volpi, Raffaele Canonico, Massimo Manara and Giovanni Sisca are the unsung heroes of the league, the report highlights. There are over 4000 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in Italy, and it’s likely that the contagion could spread to some locker rooms across Italy in the coming days or weeks. It’s already happened in the Lega Pro, with some Pianese players testing positive for the virus.
