Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has reignited his interest in Inter owned striker Mauro Icardi and has contacted his wife/agent Wanda Nara, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The report details how the 27-year-old Argentine has suffered a slight rift with French side Paris Saint Germain, where he is currently on a season long loan. The chances of the Parisians enacting the €70 million buy option seem low, allowing Juventus to reignite their interest in the player.

Napoli have joined Juventus in the chase for Icardi, the report continues. The Partenopei are set to sell multiple players in the summer, including Brazilian midfielder Allan and Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly. The funds would allow them to fight for Icardi’s signature in the summer.

Icardi has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1958 minutes. In that time, he’s scored 20 goals and provided four assists.
